The Next Step III:
Getting Exposure in the Fine Art and Documentary World

This workshop is specifically designed for fine art photographers who have completed either The Next Step 1 or The Next Step 2. Students will work on creating new portfolios, editing and strengthening existing ones, and preparing for a portfolio review, such as Review LA, Photolucida and FotoFest. The class will also research and discuss ways to market student work, including finding new contest submissions and exhibition opportunities. In addition, the work of contemporary fine art photographers will be explored, with some of these artists appearing as guest speakers.

This class is a terrific opportunity for fine art photographers to share imagery, get feedback and critique, discover new ways of promoting work, and keep focused and inspired. This is a three-session course that is offered twice per year – once in the spring and once in the fall. There is a one-month break between each of the three sessions.
